Application: AISI316 is Austenitic Stainless steel, offers excellent corrosion resistance in organic, acid, oxidizing, food environment, etc. The non-magnetic properties combined with exceptionally high thoughness at all temperatures make these steels an excellent selection for all application. AISI316 with the addition of molybdenum improves corrosion resistance particularly to sulphuric acid compounds. AISI316L has the same properties as AISI316, except that it has lower carbon content.
